I'm looking forward to reading this book. I read her book Interpreter of Maladies and liked it, so I hope this one is as good.

I will be honest and say that other books by this author have not pulled me in. This book became like an obsession as I read. The story begins with the death of a doctor working on a secret drug in the Amazon jungle. A colleague is sent from the drug company who is financing the research to find out what happened to the doctor (exactly) and also to update the drug company administration on the progress and a timeline to completion. I just don't know how much more to write without giving away some of the best parts of this story. It has some of everything...mystery, romance, drama, realistic portrayals of said drug company, well- I guess it just needs to be read. AND THEN WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE TALK TO ME ABOUT IT? I can't wait to discuss it- it's that kind of book!
